2015 Hand Bag Trends | Ambril McLaurin for Madame Butterfly Too

Long Hand Bag

Handbags have certainly transformed. A new look at the bucket to floral stories and a return of a 1970s shape. Thankfully, the easy bucket bag and our trusted crossbody carryalls aren’t going anywhere, while the tote bag got a fresh coat of paint. Designers are elevating the bucket for spring, with perforated leathers, exotics and high-shine leathers redefining the silhouette. As for the rest, it’s a mix of ladylike essentials and an innovative spin on the daytime clutch. Round handheld clutches and crossbody styles are cropping up for Spring. The new shape in bags is lean and clean—with boxy bags done up in rectangles that feel utterly fresh. With so much  attention paid to the ’70s, it’s only logical the saddle bag would make a triumphant return. Designers do the bag justice in sumptuous suedes, rich brown leathers and perfect pythons.
